2015 RCT Lawrence Restaurant Bracket: Marisco's vs John Brown's Underground

(8) Marisco's Seafood Steak and Pasta vs (9) John Brown's Underground

(8) Marisco's Seafood Steak and Pasta

I was a little surprised that Marisco's wasn't a higher seed, as this is one of the premiere fine dining establishments in Lawrence. Of course, any place that can nail a steak AND lobster mac and cheese at the same time is going to rate high in my book. The food here is definitely worth the price that you pay.

(9) John Brown's Underground

John Brown's Undergrounds seems like a good facsimile of a speakeasy (although since I've never actually been to one I can't speak from personal experience), and the reading nook at the front of the restaurant is a great addition to the atmosphere. It doesn't hurt that they have a killer brunch menu, and of course the fact that the building is halfway underground helps add to the novelty factor of the place.

Who will advance in our final matchup of the first round?
