This season Kansas could potentially play 18 games against teams that competed in the 2014-15 NCAA Tournament. Six of those teams could appear on KU's non-conference slate.

What is Bill Self talking about? | CJOnline.com

The quote, at first, left me scratching my head. Self, who publicly called 3s "Fool's gold," believes KU was running too much outside-in offense last season?

Heeney sure makes a good fit in Raiders' attire with his scraggly beard and grisly appearance, doesn't he?

Due to the threat of inclement weather in the Dallas and Fort Worth area, Friday night's (May 8) regularly scheduled baseball game at No. 3 TCU has been moved to a 2 p.m. first pitch. The remainder of the series will be played as scheduled, with Saturday's game set for 4 p.m. and Sunday's nationally-televised game on FOX Sports 2 at 1 p.m.

If new Missouri Tigers AD wants peace with KU, the least Kansas Jayhawks can do is listen | FOX Sports

The wheels are already turning, allegedly, or as much as they can turn given the current political climate. Rhoades told reporters last week that a conversation with Zenger about some kind of series has already been broached, so the ship, more or less, has officially been launched. Now: Will it sail?

New NCAA Division I vice president Kevin Lennon says transfer rules, including the graduate transfer exception, are at the top of his priority list. Coaches are complaining that they want an end to immediate free agency. Commissioners are bemoaning a rule they say doesn't fit the NCAA's educational values and creates a “hired gun” mentality.

Florida passed on big names, bet on Michael White to keep Gators great - CBSSports.com

But White's resume built at Louisiana Tech is better than the resume Billy Donovan built at Marshall before Foley hired him two decades ago, point being Foley has identified a young star before, and that's among the reasons he deserves the benefit of the doubt here.

Climbing higher than 4th all-time in homers will be a challenge for A-Rod - CBSSports.com

Next up on the all-time list is Ruth, and that one will be a real challenge for A-Rod. He is 53 homers behind The Great Bambino with two seasons and five months left on his contract and likely in his career. A-Rod hit only 41 homers total from 2011-13, his last three seasons before his record suspension. Like most players, his production slipped with age.

Although Favre's induction ceremony will take place at Lambeau Field, his flag football game won't because the Packers turned down a chance to host the game.

Confessions of a Nashville bathroom attendant

There are few jobs as thankless as a bathroom attendant in a honky-tonk bar. That’s why I had to ask “Cora,” the woman in the bathroom of a Nashville bar on Broadway to tell me everything about her job — the good, the bad, and the ugly… the really ugly.
