Self, who spent an hour in meetings with the NCAA rules committee Thursday in Indianapolis, believes the biggest change in the game could center around a continued effort to promote freedom of movement.
Kansas basketball coach Bill Self has received a lot of praise — and criticism — from journalists, fans and peers in the last decade or so. However, one question about his coaching abilities remains — does Bill Self prepare his players for the NBA? Let’s look at the players Self has coached who went on to the NBA.

We'll see how Smart adjusts, but at least he's getting a good dose of quality competition. The Longhorns will be worth the watch from the start, just to see how everything changes with a new coach. (Mr. Ed says: Huh. I've seen much tougher schedules recently. This one just isn't that impressive to me. Whatevs.)
"After much thought and careful consideration, I will utilize my fifth year of eligibility to join the Florida State University Seminoles. To coach Jimbo Fisher, the Florida State football team, staff, alumni and fans, thank you for allowing me to become part of the Seminoles family. I can't wait to get started."
Last season, the Aggies hosted LSU in a 23-17 loss on that Thursday night -- the slot previously dedicated to their annual rivalry game against Texas. While Texas A&M may continue that tradition at home with the Tigers, Alleva said there is no chance the game gets moved from Saturday to Thursday under his watch.
Arguably the most iconic piece of Orange football history, jersey number 44 was worn by three era-defining running backs between 1954-66: Jim Brown, Ernie Davis and Floyd Little. The number was last worn by future pro Rob Konrad in 1998 and retired in 2005. But many Orange fans have clamored for the number to be reinstated to the active roster.

On Tuesday, most of the team got stuck in an elevator together, presumably at their hotel. Junior catcher Colton Howell says 24 (!) players were in the elevator at once.
Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh knows that asking politely or hoping real hard won't be enough to beat Ohio State when the Buckeyes visit the Big House on Nov. 28. Harbaugh, a man who always likes to impart wisdom when the opportunity presents itself, had to pass along this lesson to a young fan at a charity golf outing on Monday.

At the Eagles’ rookie mini-camp, the corner said, he found himself picking up new techniques at a fast pace. While playing press coverage — something he did at KU, too — he got too “handsy” on a few plays by doing things that were fine in college. He discovered he’ll have to get rid of some of those habits he picked up in his first three seasons of playing defensive back.

In 2015, instead of kicking an extra point from the two-yard line, teams will be forced to kick from the 15-yard line. And the defending team will be allowed to score two points if it grabs possession of the ball and takes it back the other way. And if you're not a fan of the new rule, well, it's only in effect for this season -- for now.
Angels outfielder Matt Joyce was in the original starting lineup, but he was scratched not long before first pitch with no explanation given. As it turns out, Joyce thought they were playing a night game in the series-opener and he was late to the park.
The return match that WWE has been building up to appears to be The Rock against his former rival -- and the company's executive vice president -- Triple H. The duo have gone head-to-head twice over the last year, first backstage last October and then again with Rousey and Stephanie McMahon (WWE chief brand officer and Triple H's wife) by their respective sides at WrestleMania 31.
Those are hot dogs baked into slices of pizza, and they shall soon be available to the people. (Mr. Ed says: But is it a sandwich? I NEED TO KNOW!)
