Kansas University freshman Eli Mayr scored the only goal 25 minutes into the second half as the Jayhawks edged Iowa, 1-0, in a spring exhibition soccer match Saturday at the Cyclone Sports Complex.

Kansas tennis edged by SMU |
Two lopsided losses in doubles cost Kansas University the doubles point, and the Jayhawks never recovered in a 4-3 tennis loss to Southern Methodist on Saturday.

KU’s Conley wins Texas long jump |
Kansas University’s Sydney Conley soared to a mark of 6.50 meters (21 feet, 4 inches) to win the long jump at the Texas Relays on Saturday.

Rough start: First-inning blues doom KU softball again |
