The matchups for the West Region are out:
#1 Wisconsin vs #16 Coastal Carolina
#8 Oregon vs #9 Oklahoma State
#5 Arkansas vs #12 Wofford
#4 North Carolina vs #13 Harvard
#6 Xavier vs #11 Brigham Young/Mississippi
#3 Baylor vs #14 Georgia State
#7 Virginia Commonwealth vs #10 Ohio State
#2 Arizona vs #15 Texas Southern
Quick reactions:
Oklahoma State has a tough game against a solid Oregon team, and the winner gets the right to be slaughtered by Wisconsin.
Arkansas was seeded a bit higher than I would have initially thought, but I couldn't really find any team I thought should definitely be above them.
Brigham Young probably should have been given UCLA's spot, but I can't really complain too much given that they only have the one good win against Gonzaga.
Baylor and Arizona should make it to the Sweet 16 rather easily, and this should be another fascinating 2/3 matchup. They share strengths and the battle down low should be fantastic.
I'll stand by my initial statement that the Midwest Region is the most difficult, but this one isn't far behind. The left side of the bracket should be fascinating to watch and full of drama for the next two weeks.
