The top 5 from last week's poll were undefeated, and Villanova won both games to move up to #6. Kansas had mixed results, and their 1-1 week was enough to keep them in the number 8 spot since everyone around them dropped a game as well. Iowa State was not so lucky, as the fell to #14 after a loss at Kansas and a blowout of Texas Tech at home. Tonight, they take on #17 Oklahoma, who moved up four spots after convincing wins against #21 West Virginia and TCU. #16 Baylor moved up 3 spots and hosts poll newcomer #21 Oklahoma State tonight. Texas dropped out from the poll last week after losing to Oklahoma State and beating Kansas State.
So with the swap between Oklahoma State and Texas, the Big 12 keeps the most teams in the poll with 6. The same 5 teams from the ACC are in the poll as well, and no other conference has more than 3.
Wichita State won both games this week and moved up one spot to #15.
