Scouting Report:

After committing to Texas as a sophomore in 2013 (the youngest commit of Mack Brown's tenure), Garza withdrew his commitment after Brown was forced out.  Garza fielded offers from a number of impressive schools, including Auburn, Baylor, and USC, before committing to the Jayhawks in July of last year.

Garza runs the 40-yard dash in 4.9 seconds.  He receives a below-average grade in body quickness and lateral movement (i.e., pass blocking) but grades out well in punch and strength.  Look for Garza to be a valuable asset in the run blocking game.

While most scouts thought that Garza's star would be a bit brighter by now, after such a promising beginning to his high school career in Sherman, he has plateaued just a bit.  That said, any offensive lineman who attracts the type of schools that Garza attracted is undeniably a good get for KU.
