Scouting Report:

Iiiiiin West Philadelphia, born and raised, on the playground is where he spent most of his days After graduating from Shawnee Mission Northwest, Smith has spent the last couple of years at Butler Community College, where he was a major piece of an offensive line has been receiving plenty of attention from D-I programs the last couple years.  Linemates Tyler Howell and Brian Ochs ended up at Missouri and North Texas, respectively, and Smith himself chose Kansas over Iowa and North Texas.

At 6'4" and over 300 lbs, Smith has the kind of size that Kansas needs on the O-Line.  He grades out at slightly above average in both pass & run blocking.  He needs to improve his quickness, but his strength is already a major plus, as you may expect from a JuCo player who is a couple years removed from high school.
