KU looks to continue to build momentum coming out of the exhibition season as the 'Hawks face Northern Colorado to officially open the 2015-16 campaign.
This is (obviously) the season opener for both squads. Kansas currently resides at #4 in the AP Poll, knocking off Pitt State and Fort Hays State in exhibition play. Northern Colorado is unranked; the Bears did not play in any exhibition games.
KU is 1-0 versus Northern Colorado all-time. The Bears came to Allen Fieldhouse in 2005, falling behind 14-0 in the game and eventually losing to the Jayhawks, 85-62. The Bears are coached by BJ Hill who is 76-77 in his sixth season as a head coach, all at UNC. They are members of the Big Sky Conference and were picked to finish sixth in the preseason media poll.
