Oklahoma 44 West Virginia 24
This one was billed as the game of the week in the conference, but it never realy reached that status. The Oklahoma defense came to play in this one. They forced five turnovers (Jordan Thomas had two interceptions and Ahmad Thomas added another) and sacked West Virginia QB Skyler Howard seven times. The OU defense looks to continue the feast when they take on Texas next weekend, while the Mountaineers look to get back to winning ways at home against Oklahoma State.
Oklahoma State 36 Kansas State 34
Well, this was definitely the best game of the weekend in the Big XII. K-State had a 28-13 lead late in the first half, but OSU cut that lead to eight at the break and took momentum into the locker room. After KSU QB Josh Hubener scored with 3:01 to go to give the Wildcats the lead, Oklahoma State mounted a nice drive and capped it off with a 37-yard Ben Grogan field goal with 32 seconds remaining to win it for the Cowboys. Next week, the Cowboys travel to West Virginia while K-State hosts TCU.
TCU 50 Texas 7
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Next week TCU hosts K-State while Texas plays Oklahoma in Dallas.
Baylor 63 Texas Tech 35
Baylor had 49 points at the half. They score when they want, and this week, they stopped a good offensive team from scoring. Seth Russell was his usual self with four touchdown passes. Shock Linwood ran for 221 yards and two TD’s as well. Next week, Tech hosts Iowa State and Baylor will host Kansas, so their starters will get three quarters to rest.
