Dumb and Dumber is not just a movie title any more. It also accurately and completely sums up the way the Jayhawks played Saturday at Jack Trice Stadium on their way to a 38-13 loss to Iowa State in front of a fired up and friendly ISU crowd of 55,837.

Max Scherzer throws second no-hitter of 2015, striking out 17 vs. Mets -
Washington Nationals right-hander Max Scherzer completed his second no-hitter of 2015 on Saturday night, striking out 17 in a 2-0 victory against the New York Mets at Citi Field. Scherzer is the first pitcher since Nolan Ryan in 1973 to throw two no-hitters in the same regular season, and the fifth to do it in major-league history. Scherzer's 17 strikeouts were a career high and tied Ryan's record for a no-no (which Ryan also accomplished with his second one of '73).

Louisiana-Monroe quarterback Daniel Fitzwater, 20, dies -
Before Louisiana-Monroe's game vs. Georgia Southern on Saturday, ULM confirmed the death of walk-on quarterback Daniel Fitzwater, who died at the age of 20. According to ULM, the cause of death is unknown.

Louisville, NCAA looking into claim paid escorts had sex with players -
Louisville officials and the the NCAA are investigating allegations in a new book that Andre McGee, a former director of basketball operations with the men's program, paid for escorts to have sex with recruits and players, the school announced Friday afternoon.

Ben McLemore Has Team Option Picked Up by Kings: Latest Details, Reaction | Bleacher Report
The Sacramento Kings didn't waste any time locking Ben McLemore up for next season. According to James Ham of, the team exercised the fourth-year option on the 22-year-old guard, which means he'll be a restricted free agent in the summer of 2017. The team confirmed the move Saturday afternoon.

Hope Solo Will Face Domestic Violence Charges Again
The domestic violence charges against Hope Solo that were dropped earlier this year will return after a higher court in King County reversed a lower court’s decision to dismiss them. Solo had been charged with two counts of misdemeanor assault. In January, her lawyer successfully argued to a judge that the case against her should be dismissed because he said the victims—Solo’s half-sister and teenage nephew—refused to be deposed by the defense team.
