Baylor 62 West Virginia 38
The Baylor machine keeps on rolling. It was only a ten point game at the half but Baylor busted it open in the second. One time Kansas recruit Seth Russell threw three of his five touchdowns in the third quarter. For the game he had 380 yards on 20 of 33 passing. Baylor gets a bye week next week when they host Iowa State while West Virginia has an actual bye weekend before a Thursday night affair against TCU on October 29.
Oklahoma 55 K-State 0
I guess that Bob Stoops didn’t really like losing to Texas. It was a blowout from the start and OU quarterback Baker Mayfield had a pretty nice game. He went 20 of 27 for 282 yards and five touchdowns. Oklahoma might also liked what they see when they watch the Texas Tech/Kansas tape. Those are their next two opponents. KSU travels to Texas.
TCU 45 Iowa State 21
Trevone Boykin kept his Heisman campaign rolling as he went 27 of 32 for 436 yards and four touchdowns. Iowa State actually had a lead after the first quarter (21-14) and were close at the half (down 24-21), but that’s where their scoring stopped. Next week, it doesn’t figure to get any easier when they travel to Baylor. TCU next plays on 10/29.
