Multiple media outlets are reporting that Kansas' David Beaty has tabbed Cal Assistant Head Coach, Passing game coordinator and WR coach Rob Likens to be the next offensive coordinator at Kansas.

Bruce Feldman at Fox Sports first reported the news tonight, with ESPN confirming the hiring a couple hours later.

Likens was expected to be a key piece in the development of a Cal offense that many expect to take a leap next year.  As he had so many roles on the team last year, I think it is safe to say that he will definitely be missed, and is a great addition to Beaty's staff.

We'll cover this more tomorrow, and we have some coverage of the staff as a whole planned for when it is filled out, but to get a better idea of what kind of coach we are getting, feel free to head over to our sister site California Golden Blogs and check out their coverage of the hiring.
