Kansas State @ Kansas Open Game Thread

The Jayhawks are 17-3 (6-1) and coming off a 64-61 win versus TCU in Fort Worth. Kansas currently stands at #9 in the AP Poll.

Kansas State comes in unranked with a 12-9 (5-3) record. The Wildcats are coming off a 65-59 loss against West Virginia in Manhattan.

Kansas and Kansas State obviously have an extensive history together. The first matchup occurred way back in 1907, a 54-39 KU win, and Kansas has dominated the Wildcats ever since with a 187-92 record overall. Kansas has won 48 of the last 52 matchups, KU is 44-18 vs KState in Allen Fieldhouse. Bill Self is 22-4 vs KSU in his time at Kansas.

The Wildcats are coached by Bruce Weber who is 59-30 in his third season at KSU. Weber is mostly known for his ability to win basketball games with players recruited by Bill Self. In 17 seasons as a head coach, Weber has compiled a 372-185 overall record which includes stops at Southern Illinois and Illinois.
