Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

The Jayhawks are 15-3 (4-1) and coming off an 85-78 win versus Oklahoma in Lawrence. Kansas currently stands at #11 in the AP Poll.

Texas comes in with a 14-4 (3-2) record. The Longhorns are sitting at #17 in the AP Poll and are coming off a 66-48 victory against TCU in Fort Worth.

This series dates back to 1938, but obviously the two schools didn't meet regularly until the formation of the Big 12. Overall, Kansas leads Texas by a 23-8 count including 9 of the last 11. Since the formation of the Big 12, KU leads the series 19-7. In games played in Austin, KU is 6-6 - the only Big 12 city/arena that KU does not have a winning record. Bill Self is 13-6 versus UT in his time at Kansas.

The Longhorns are coached by Rick Barnes who is 396-170 in his 17th season at Texas. In 28 seasons as a head coach, Barnes has compiled a 598-304 overall record which includes stops at George Mason, Providence, and Clemson.

The game will air on CBS at 1:00 PM Jayhawk time.
