Defensive back Short withdraws from KU | KUsports.com

Despite the timing of Short's departure, Weis said the KU defense had planned to be without him. “He's been practicing as a back-up,” Weis said. “This has been going on for a while. So it isn't like we haven't been prepared for this. We've been prepared for weeks, so this is not something that just hit yesterday.”

B1G schedules enter new, exciting phase - Big Ten Blog - ESPN

Last spring, the Big Ten began having quarterly conference calls with each school's football schedule coordinator. During these calls, each school reports its scheduling agreements or potential agreements. The idea is to keep everyone in the loop. If there's a series one conference member can't schedule with a marquee opponent, another might make it work.

Los Angeles was able to take a 2-0 lead in the fifth thanks to some, shall we say, chaotic base-running. None of this is by the book.

The buttfumble is the greatest play in history involving someone’s ass. It will never be topped. Ever. But I’m willing to consider Jordan Westerkamp’s buttcatch as the silver medalist.
