Pretty quiet on the KU front after Media Days.  Pretty quiet everywhere, actually - I had a hard time finding stuff for today!

Bragg, Rivals’ No. 9-ranked senior, told Zagsblog he will cut his list of schools to five on Sept. 1, and Illinois, Kentucky and KU will occupy three of those spots.

Although he has yet to join the Cyclones on gameday, Mangino already has made his energetic presence felt. The Cyclones said Mangino brought maximum effort each time, whether it was in the film room going over mistakes, in the meeting room planning or on the practice field working on execution.

Oklahoma enters as Big 12 favorite thanks to Bama High -

In the afterglow, beating Bama was one of the biggest of Bob Stoops' career. The teams hadn't met since OU swept a home-and-home in 2002-03. It certainly was his most significant bowl win in the 13 years since claiming that 2000 national championship. Only four times since 2003 has OU ended the season with a win over a program currently in a Power 5 conference

DE Devonte Fields 'separated' from TCU pending investigation -

TCU announces that Devonte Fields has been "separated" from the school "pending results of an investigation into allegations against him." Those allegations, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, include using a gun to threaten his ex-girlfriend.

Police probing switch of flags on Brooklyn Bridge | Wichita Eagle

At about 5:30 a.m., construction workers noticed the white flags, apparently American flags about 20 feet by 11 feet and perhaps commercial grade, with faded stars and stripes, police said. Police removed the white flags just before noon.

The stars of Comedy Central's fake news hour are lending their support to the Star Wars: Force for Change initiative to benefit UNICEF by engaging in a hardcore battle to determine which of them is biggest fan. It's worth it to see Stewart be the one to take things too far, for a change.
