To be honest, I have no idea how long it has been since Baseball America, the preeminent college baseball source, ranked Kansas in its top 25 rankings. But in this week's rankings, the Jayhawks are in at number 22.
After a nine game Big 12 winning streak, the Jayhawks have clinched at least 3rd in the Big 12, and are close to a lock to make the NCAA tournament at this point. College baseball is still very much stuck on the RPI and in an ideal world Kansas would like to improve on their current ranking, but for now they are in a good spot.
The Jayhawks were picked to finish last in the Big 12 this year, and with that came a lot of whispers that this could be the end of the Rich Price era, but the Jayhawks responded to finish likely third in the Big 12 standings (they could finish second if TCU gets swept this weekend).
Kansas is done with their conference schedule, and will next take the field at the Big 12 tournament in two weeks' time.
