With Wayne Selden being dropped in the Draft Express mock draft, and dropped to 34 in their Top 100 rankings, Kansas fans were no doubt optimistic that he would return for his Sophomore season.
Today, the guard confirmed it, tweeting that he would be returning to Lawrence for his Sophomore season:
Want to let Jayhawk Nation know, I will be returning for my sophomore season! Cant wait to get to work & get back in the fieldhouse #KUCMB

Selden averaged 9.7 points per game in just under 30 minutes per game for the Jayhawks. He was second on the team in assists, averaging 2.5 per contest.
Advanced stats wise, Selden struggled a bit. He had a 104.9 offensive rating, and had a higher turnover rate than assist rate while not adding on the glass. Selden also shot just under 33% from three, though he did have a very hot stretch in the middle of the Big 12 season.
Defensively, Selden struggled off the ball, though he did improve his on ball defense steadily throughout the season.
The biggest positive in Selden's game is his attitude. He was a McDonalds All-American who became Kansas's hustle guy and became a bit of a leader for the Jayhawks later in the year. With another year under his belt, I imagine he will be a leader for the Jayhawks and an offseason of learning under Self should improve both his on ball and off ball defense next season.
