For Alabama (6-3) it was a stunning defeat despite 13 points each from Levi Randolph and Shannon Hale. The Tide came very close to snapping Wichita State's 23-game home winning streak.

Former Nebraska coach Bo Pelini is taking the head-coaching job at Youngstown State. The school is expected to introduce him as the football team's new coach Wednesday. Pelini is a graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School in Youngstown, Ohio.
