Jayhawks and Spartans vie for the Orlando Classic championship.

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

The Jayhawks will play their third game in four days as they've advanced to the championship game of the Orlando Classic.

Kansas is 4-1 on the year after defeating Rhode Island and Tennessee in the first two rounds of this tournament. KU currently resides at #11 in the AP Poll. Sparty comes in ranked #20 with a 5-1 record. The Spartans defeated Rider and Marquette in the first two round of this tournament.

KU is 4-6 versus Michigan State all-time. Bill Self is 1-3 vs Tom Izzo's Spartans since his arrival at Kansas. The last time these teams met was in the Champions Classic in November of 2012, where MSU clipped the Jayhawks 67-64.

Sparty is coached by Tom Izzo, who has been the head man at Michigan State since 1995. Izzo is 473-188 all-time at MSU. Of course, they are members of the Big 10, and were picked to finish 2nd in the preseason media poll behind Wisconsin.

The game will be televised on ESPN at 12 PM Kansas time.
