KU tries to advance to the championship game of the Orlando Classic.

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

The Jayhawks will play their second game in two days as they've advanced to the second round of the winner's bracket of the Orlando Classic where they will face the University of Tennessee Volunteers.

Kansas is 3-1 on the year after defeating Rhode Island yesterday in the first round of this tournament. Kansas currently resides at #11 in the AP Poll. Tennessee comes in unranked at 2-1. The Vols defeated Santa Clara yesterday to earn their spot against KU today.

KU is 1-1 versus Tennessee all-time. In a home-and-home series, Kansas defeated the Vols in 2009, and the Vols returned the favor in 2010. Tennessee is coached by Donnie Tyndall, who is in his first year at the helm of the Volunteers. Of course, they are members of the SEC and were picked to finish 13th in the preseason coaches poll. I'm sure we all know how strong the SEC is and all the proud basketball traditions to which all of those schools hold.

The game will be televised on ESPN at 11 AM Kansas time.
