Big XII Conference Recap- Week 13

Kansas got blown away in record breaking fashion on Saturday, and if you need more insight into that contest, RCT has you covered. As for the rest of the Big XII, here’s a quick recap of all the games.

Kevin Jairaj-USA TODAY Sports

#12 Kansas State 26, West Virginia 20

K-State got off to a fast start in this one and held off the pesky Mountaineers in this week’s Thursday night showcase. Quarterback Jake Waters set a personal high with 400 yards passing. Tyler Lockett caught 10 from Waters for a total of 196 yards in his last visit to West Virginia. K-State is tied atop the Big 12 with Baylor and TCU with a home game against Kansas before a showdown with the Bears.

Texas Tech 34, Iowa State 31

With the win, Texas Tech has given Kansas fans hope that the Jayhawks’ win over Iowa State earlier this month will be enough to secure a ninth place finish instead of dead last. Iowa State still has to lose to West Virginia and TCU, but I think they’re up to the challenge.

#7 Baylor 49, Oklahoma State 28

Blah, blah, blah, Baylor hammers Oklahoma State. Blah, blah, blah, the Cowboys are in a free fall. Blah, blah, blah, OSU plays in the most anti-climatic Bedlam game in quite some time two weeks from now. Blah, blah, blah, Baylor plays Tech next week so the final test for the Bears will come in two weeks in the season closing game against K-State. Blah, blah, blah, playoffs and all that.
