Jayhawks barely missed picking up what would have been an amazing win versus TCU and fell to 3-7 (1-6) last week, ending any and all hopes of a bowl bid. Kansas has been impressive in their past two games, but keep in mind, both contests were in the friendly confines of Lawrence, KS.
Oklahoma is 7-3 (4-3) after last week's come from behind victory in Lubbock, TX, over the Red Raiders. The Sooners trailed early in that one, 21-7, but then remembered they could run the ball... anyway, it's a long story, hopefully you read the Q&A with CCM yesterday.
Kansas is 28-70-6 all-time versus the Sooners. Oklahoma has won the last nine matchups in a row, none of which have been particularly close. Prior to that, Kansas actually had a three-game winning streak against the Sooners from 1995-97.
Once again, the Jayhawks are big underdogs, and this time they have to play on the road. Still, Kansas has only failed to cover the spread once under Clint Bowen. Can they keep this one close and give themselves a shot at a huge upset? Simple math tells you that TCU beat OU by four, and TCU beat KU by four, and since we can't tie anymore, I guess we better make all our extra point attempts. Right?
RIGHT?
