There wasn't a lot of major movements in the polls after this past weekend in college football. In the AP Poll, Mississippi State remained at #1 and Florida State at #2 while Auburn jumped Alabama to claim the #3 spot. Alabama and Oregon round out the Top 5.
Losses by both Ole Miss and Georgia cost them their spots in the Top 10 which TCU (6) and Kansas State (9) were happy to claim a week before their showdown in Fort Worth next month. Other Big 12 teams in the rankings include #10 Baylor, #16 Oklahoma, and #24 West Virginia.
The way the polls shook out this week sets up several Top 25 matchups for next weekend in addition to the aforementioned KSU/TCU tilt. #4 Alabama plays at #14 LSU, #5 Oregon plays at #20 Utah, #13 Ohio State plays at #7 Michigan State, #8 Notre Dame plays at #11 Arizona State, and #10 Baylor plays at #16 Oklahoma.
