The Jayhawks travel to Indianapolis, IN for the fourth round of the Champions Classic, where they will square off against Kentucky. The Champions Classic is a double-header, and the Jayhawks have the second game tonight, tentatively scheduled for 8 PM Kansas time, or 30 mins after the Duke-Michigan State game.
So far on the year, Kansas is 1-0 after defeating UC Santa Barbara in their season opener. Kentucky is 2-0 after a pair of home wins over Grand Canyon and Buffalo.
Kentucky leads the all-time series with Kansas, 21-6, with Kentucky winning the last two meetings between the schools, both in the 2011-12 season.
So far, Kansas is 1-2 in the Champions Classic after last year's win over Duke. The Jayhawks will play Michigan State in 2015 and Duke in 2016.
As I'm sure we're all aware, Kentucky comes into this game with the top ranking in the AP poll. Kansas is 7-15 all-time versus the Associated Press No. 1 team, and 2-1 versus #1s under Bill Self.
