Big XII Conference Recap- Week 12

New, comments

Kansas almost pulled off the upset of the season on Saturday, and if you need more insight into that contest, RCT has you covered. As for the rest of the Big XII, here’s a quick recap of all the games.

John Weast

Texas 28, Oklahoma State 7

Hey look, Texas is bowl eligible. Meanwhile, Oklahoma State is in an absolute tailspin. The Longhorns dominated in every way possible- 24 first downs to 9, 430 total yards to 192, 38:37 time of possession to 21:23, forced turnovers 2 to 0, and third down conversions 11 to just 2. Texas has looked like a team on the rise with Tyrone Swoopes becoming a formidable Big 12 QB. Meanwhile, OSU has plummeted into the bottom of the conference after staring the season with grand aspirations.

Oklahoma 42, Texas Tech 30

Oklahoma had to come from behind to beat Texas Tech, and in the end, won by a comfortable margin. Down at one point 21-7, the Sooners, behind running back Samaje Perine’s 213 yards and three touchdowns outscored Tech 35-9 in the game’s final 42 minutes.
