Kansas Football Gets Commitment from Aubrey White

No head coach? No problem.

Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

Class of 2016 running back Aubrey White from Wylie, Texas is the latest running back to make a pledge to Kansas. White is a three star recruit according to Rivals, who ranked him the 68th best player in Texas.

Of course Kansas has had recent success with running backs from Texas, as James Sims recently wrapped up an incredible year. White averaged over 9 yards per carry for Wylie last year, which plays 5A football in the state of Texas.

As you may have guessed, White was primarily recruited by Reggie Mitchell, who continues to pull magic out of his hat on the recruiting trail despite not a lot of recent on field success to point to.

White stands 6'1", 190 lbs, putting him roughly at the same weight as KU's current running backs, Deandre Mann and Corey Avery, but it looks like he has some room to add some weight as well.

I won't pretend to assert that you can divine anything from recruiting mixtapes, but here is White's.

Perhaps most impressive was White's offer list: he chose KU over Nebraska, TCU, and Oklahoma, among others.
