The preseason AP Poll is out, and Kentucky has joined UCLA, UNLV, and North Carolina to be named back-to-back preseason #1 since the AP Poll started in 1961-62.  This is Kentucky's fourth preseason #1 ranking.  Arizona, Wisconsin, and Duke follow Kentucky in the Poll.

Kansas checked in at #5.  Other Big 12 teams are #10 Texas, #14 Iowa State and #19 Oklahoma.  Kansas State, Oklahoma State, Baylor, and West Virginia all came in under "Receiving votes."

Regionally, Wichita State starts off with its highest preseason ranking since the 1981-82 season at #11.  Nebraska came in at #21 while Iowa and Arkansas received votes.

Larry Brown's SMU Mustangs came in at #22.  Utah and Harvard round out the Top 25 with a tie for the 25th spot.
