Kansas Basketball Recruiting: Cliff Alexander and Kelly Oubre Named to McDonald's All American Roster

USA TODAY Sports

While we still haven't seen the full potential of last years stellar recruiting class, Kansas fans have another duo to look forward to with the 2014 class.  Yesterday the McDonald's All American rosters were announced and both current Kansas signees are on the list.  Cliff Alexander and Kelly Oubre were named to the group that typically represents one of the top honors a high school basketball player can earn and with the seasons both are having, next year looks to be a promising one for another solid freshman class.

Oubre and Alexander have really turned heads this year to the point that Alexander is recieving mention as a possible no. 1 overall recruit when the final rankings come out.  On that note, Oubre has moved up several times and currently sits just outside the top 10.  That too could change as some recruiting analysts are projecting him to finish in the top 5.  If Kansas pulls two players in the top five and potentially a third in Myles Turner, it would be a pretty incredible accomplishment for Bill Self who has been on fire on the recruiting trail lately.

The final rosters look like this.  Look for the game on April 2nd on ESPNU.
