Apologies for the light load yesterday. I was called to jury duty, first time ever, ended up being an 11 hour day of hurry up and wait. Dodged the bullet though and I am not part of what would have been a nine day trial.

KU freshman guard Rio Adams to transfer - KansasCity.com
Honestly I wish this didn't happen every year. I know sometimes it's whatever but Rio seemed like a pretty charismatic athletic player that could have made an impact long term. Obviously we don't know who made the call and what side this is coming from but I think we'll hear from him again wherever he ends up.

“Immediate impact,” Self said Tuesday, asked what he’s looking for on the recruiting trail. “We could probably sign a couple more.”

Weis to KU defense: No loafing allowed | KUsports.com
“(A loaf) is when a defensive lineman thinks he is out of a play and thinks he will save his energy because someone else will finish the play,” Weis began. “That is one of the things that we have to get much better at, as a defense, to get all 11 guys running to the ball on every single play. When I first got into college football back in the mid 1980s, I went to the University of South Carolina. They had an undersized defense called the Fire Ant Defense because they swarmed the ball on every single play. I think, defensively, if all 11 guys swarm the football, you always have a chance of being very successful.”
Opinion: Sneak peek at KU football whets appetite for 2013 season | KUsports.com
The sun started to drop, and the temperature more than kept pace. And Tuesday afternoon was one of the warmest spring football practices for a Kansas football team trying to eradicate the stench of a 1-11 record, the school’s fourth consecutive losing season. Most of the summer sessions will take place in blistering heat. That’s OK. Nothing about football practice ever is supposed to resemble comfortable anyway. Golf courses exist for that.

Seems like this is far more serious than what the Pac 12 commish is trying to convey.

Seems like a no brainer.
