For an intro on the defensive scoresheet and what is going on, read this.
I'm not sure when the Florida scoresheet (or recap, given that I am writing that Wednesday morning) will go up, but my plan is for scoresheet and recap to be up Wednesday, something about attacking the zone on Thursday, and maybe something Friday. We'll see. Anyways, here's a defensive look at the Colorado game:
- Joel Embiid had a really good game by the numbers, but looked a bit weaker to the naked eye. Not sure why that is other than maybe our expectations are getting a bit too high.
- Speaking of which, kind of a pedestrian games by Wiggins' standards, I guess, though he did a lot of good things that didn't show up even on a statistical look that is this detailed.
- Perry Ellis likewise looks really bad here, but he forced a lot of tough looks and sometimes they just go in. Not much he could do there.
- I still don't get why Frankamp, White and Greene barely play. That isn't defense related; I'm just saying.
