After a promising start, the wheels completely fell off for Kansas. A quick 11-2 lead had many thinking that Kansas was just going to cruise, but Villanova quickly woke up and stormed to the lead.
After looking completely lost in the second half, KU seemed to find themselves in the last 10 minutes of the game, feeding the ball to Embiid inside. However, once he fouled out (on a call that should have gone against Ellis), we ran out of steam, and our momentary lead wasn't able to hold up.
Up next is UTEP, who got absolutely destroyed by Iowa tonight. At least we have a silver lining on this loss. It gives us a chance to work towards correcting the great injustice of having a losing record to the Miners.
