Perry Ellis and a few Kansas freshman stole the show. It's going to be interesting watching the lineup and rotation night to night early in the season. Bill Self will eventually settle in, he always does, but last night we saw more Frankamp, a little less Wiggins, we seem to really like the Mason, Tharpe combo and Embiid can't be held back for much longer, he needs the bulk of the minutes inside now so that he can be the monster we hope he can be come March.
Another fun night of basketball despite a bit of a slow start from an intensity standpoint. The highlights are always impressive with this group. Next up is a game on Friday against Towson and the non-conference season continues. Right now it's all about putting the pieces together because making a run at the Big 12 title is going to be a difficult one. Marcus Smart and Oklahoma State looked very impressive last night.
