My take on this is that Robinson peaked pretty early and started drawing a lot of double and triple teams down the stretch. That led to some games where statistically he wasn't overwhelming and Davis kept coming up with big defensive plays that the media ate up. Robinson has an argument, but that's just the way it works and Davis probably has an equally compelling argument in a lot of ways.
