KU beats Detroit 65-50, advances to round of 32 -
Suddenly, the college basketball world was riveted to the Kansas-Detroit game. The Jayhawks were a No. 2 seed, the Titans seeded 15th, and hours earlier, the tournament was turned upside down with a pair of titanic upsets in meetings between those seeds. Would KU follow Missouri and Duke into the dust pan? The losing streak of second seeds ended with the Jayhawks, who pounded Detroit 65-50.

No mercy: Kansas avoids upset |
I don't know if avoid is the right word here. I mean just because Duke and Missouri lost doesn't mean that we avoided an upset. We pretty much controlled this one from about 5 minutes in the first half on.

College Basketball

Texas gave it a good run but couldn't close it out. Big 12 ends up 4-1 in the first round with Kansas, Baylor, Iowa State and Kansas State all recording wins.

Plenty of upsets all around yesterday after a Thursday that went pretty much chalk minus two games.
