Kansas Football JUCO Haul Picks Up Steam

Kansas Football JUCO Haul Picks Up Steam

US PRESSWIRE

The Kansas Jayhawk football staff is heavily targeting the junior college ranks during this recruiting cycle in an attempt to make some immediate and noticeable improvements during this second offseason cycle. Today Kansas added another important piece at a very key defensive position.

Jayhawkslant.com is reporting that Arizona Western corner Cassius Sendish has committed to Kansas choosing the Jayhawks over offers from Iowa State, Kansas State, Indiana and others. Sendish is a big corner at 6'2" and reports 4.5 forty speed. He is also close with current Jayhawk commit Marcus Jenkins-Moore and current Jayhawk target Marquel Combs.

Don't be surprised if this is the beginning of a trend as Kansas appears to have some serious momentum going among a group of junior college recruits that includes Sendish, Jenkins Moore, Combs, Kevin Smart, Trevor Pardula, Andrew Bolton, Tedarian Johnson, Ngala Fusimalohi, Samson Faifili, Mark Thomas, Dexter McDonald, Rodriguez Coleman, Chris Martin, and Isiah Johnson. Some are committed to the Jayhawks, some mention Kansas among their finalists, and a strong core of these players are using the term "dream team' quite regularly on twitter. Take from that what you will, but Kansas is in the hunt for an extremely impressive junior college class filled with players that will be here for spring football and players that will have an opportunity to make an immediate impact.
