Trevor Lacey Signs With Alabama

The first domino didn't fall the way Kansas fans had hoped as Trevor Lacey, the 6'4" shooting guard out of Alabama, made it official and selected home state Alabama as his destination for next season over the Kentucky Wildcats the Kansas Jayhawks.

Lacey is a five star prospect and instantly lends Alabama's recruiting class a substantial boost in the overall rankings and helps improve an Alabama team from a Naitonal perspective.  Lacey is expected to fill a bit of a void in the backcourt providing the ability to create on the offensive end and much needed outside scoring ability.

Kansas made a late run at Lacey and appeared poised to land his services, but the draw of his home state proved too much.  Kansas now moves on to DeAndre Daniels and Jamari Traylor in an attempt to round out the class.  Landing one or both would provide a boost in terms of depth. Either way the Jayhawks have talent, Bill Self just might not have the luxury in terms of depth that he's enjoyed in recent years.
