Outside of special teams this one is all Baylor, but it's a little deceptive. For the first time in a little while Kansas is facing a team that is comparably poor on the defensive side of the football. Kansas still holds the edge in terms of futility, but Baylor's defense is bad enough that Kansas could get things moving in the right direction offensively.
One thing that has certainly been troubling is the slide for Kansas on the offensive side of the ball. What was once a top 25 offense is now approaching the century mark and much of that stems from the struggles in the passing game. Kansas just doesn't throw the ball well and there are quite a few potential scapegoats.
Is it Webb? The receiving corps? Or possibly playcalling? Either way it's a troubling trend and if they can't move the needle in the right direction against Baylor it might be tough to claim improvement in this area by season's end. It's what Gill hung his hat on when the heat was turned up after the Kansas State game and it's looking less and less like any significant improvement has taken place.
