Today's the day. ESPN's College GameDay will be televised live in just a few hours from Allen Fieldhouse. This is the fourth time since 2005 that Allen Fieldhouse has played host to the gents at ESPN and if you're not already here, you're probably going to be watching at home.
Gates opened at Allen Fieldhouse at 7 a.m. The morning telecast starts at 9 a.m. on ESPNU and continues on ESPN from 10-11 a.m. In addition to the two hours in the morning, ESPN will televise a show from 5-6 p.m. from the Allen Fieldhouse floor.
This is your open thread for Gameday and this is your thread for all the college basketball throughout the Big 12 and across the nation on this fine Saturday in January. I've made the trip back to Lawrence for this one, it's my first trip back in two seasons and it's already been a great weekend in Lawrence after a fun Friday night.
Pull up a chair, a couch, a stool or whatever you need and enjoy. A few recommendations from yours truly.
Kick things off with some Big East action at 11AM CST as #20 Georgetown takes on #7 Villanova.
If you like Big 10 basketball for some reason, check out #18 Minnesota at #13 Purdue at 12pm CST.
Continuing West, and a Noon time tip.Is anyone else curious how #11 A&M handles an annoying Nebraska team?
Of course the Jayhawks take the court at 6pm CST.
But if you still haven't had your fill. #13 Missouri heads to Austin against #8 Texas in the late game 8pm CST.
There are bound to be others, we're creeping toward March and if you love college basketball this is a good time of year.
