  • DE Jake Laptad (16.5) needs one sack to move into fifth place on the KU career sack list.
  • A KU win would would give KU a 2-2 record heading into Big 12 Conference play.
  • A win also Improves KU to 22-4 in its last 26 non-conference games.
  • A KU loss would Give KU a losing non-conference record for the first time since 1993.

 A couple notes on KU's freshmen:

  • KU played 13 freshmen in the season opener and two more have seen action since then.
  • The 13 freshmen who played in the first game include true freshmen DE Keba Agostinho, PK Ron Doherty and S Keeston Terry, along with redshirst freshmen LS Justin Carnes, S Prinz Kande, WR Christian Matthews, LB Steve Mestan, DB Tyler Patmon, FB Justin Puthoff, RB Deshaun Sands, OL Riley Spencer, QB Jordan Webb and DE Kevin Young.
