For the 26th consecutive year Kansas will kick off the basketball season with a celebration of sorts. "Late Night in the Phog" starts at 7:30 pm tonight with doors opening as early as 6:30. The event will run until roughly 10:30 and for those in the KC metro area it will be televised by Metro Sports.
One of the annual highlights at Late Night has become the annual pilgrimage by some of the prep hoops finest to Allen Fieldhouse to take in the event. This year Bill Self probably has his most impressive group and Coach Self has gone on record in emphasizing how important tonight and this weekend is in terms of recruiting.
