The Kansas Jayhawks had a bye week and 12 days total to prepare for what should have been a very tough but winnable home game against an instate rival. What happened was quite the opposite. The most disturbing part is that I don't believe that I underestimated Kansas State. I do however think I pretty clearly OVERestimated the Kansas Jayhawks for what will be the last time this season.
Once again the game sat at an almost insurmountable deficit for an inept offense after just a quarter and a half of play. Kansas made Carson Coffman look like a solid quarterback, the K-State receivers look as fast as anyone and the Kansas State defense effective while the game mattered.
Bill Snyder clearly knows what it means to coach in this game. Bill Snyder clearly knows how to coach a team up and get the best out of the talent he has. Turner Gill has a long way to go in both regards and on a night where things should have been different, it was the same old story for 2010 and I'm going to sit back and let this one breathe.
Tough pill to swallow. Not because of a loss, or who we lost to, but how Kansas continues to lose in a manner which is simply unacceptable.
