How horrible is that for the name of a daily links post?  Honestly.  I need a good name for this thing - which we are going to start today, running Monday through Friday (and on weekends, when permitting)

Anybody else have a problem with this?  "It was highly unusual," Self said. "We would never do that."  Self said he spoke briefly to Drew about it after the game.

Morningstar earns KU start |
Can't say that I disagree with the word "earns."  His play of late has really showed how valuable he is to the team and why coach Self continues to defer to him in high leverage situations.

Oread Boom Kings — Happy Mullet Wednesday
Our good buddy Hiphop has a few rapid fire points - most of which were covered here at RCT by Denver, but he does have a definitive answer on Max Onyegbule's status for a potential one more year.  I won't give it away here, so you have to hit the link to find out.  Besides, anytime you get a chance to link OBK here are RCT, you do it.

Roesler: Mangino's staff forced to look for other jobs |
When Athletic Director Lew Perkins released Mark Mangino in December, Jayhawk nation let go a sigh of relief for the end of the finger-pointing-negativity the story brought the University and the football team. But while everyone on the outside started to breathe easier, the staff that Mangino assembled began a mad hunt to find a new home.

Football Notebook: Briscoe trains in Texas - (non-premium article)
The NFL Draft is merely three months away.  This is where the money is made - pre-draft training, the combine and workouts.  Best of luck to Dez.

"Kansas WR Kerry Meier looks every bit of his 220 pounds and is providing the West quarterbacks with a big strike zone. Meier's experience as a former quarterback was evident throughout the practice and he did a nice job of finding seams in zone looks in particular. He lacks elite speed and explosiveness, but he has the makings of an adequate possession receiver." - ESPN's ToddMcShay, on Kerry Meier at East-West Shrine Game practices.

Kansas club hockey team knocks off Missouri in Independence -
This wasn’t late November at Arrowhead Stadium with bowl positioning on the line. Nor a clash on the courts in the thick of Big 12 competition. The game was not played by scholarship athletes, nor sanctioned by the NCAA. But it was Kansas vs. Missouri.  I know this one will make labba proud.
