Note: Chad Kolumber Q&A will be posted later this afternoon

One of the first orders of business when Turner Gill showed up on campus was getting to work in the recruiting department.  That involves turning over a few stones, finding still available prospects and solidifying current commitments.

Turner Gill and his staff made the decision very early on to honor the offers already committed to and getting those decisions reaffirmed quickly.  In some cases this was easier and in others it took a little more work.

Keeston Terry a four star wide receiver commitment for the Jayhawks had some uneasy feelings following the coaching change but in the back of his mind he wanted to be a Jayhawk.  It's certainly a tough situation for a high school player to be in and when looking at the next four years of his career, Terry was rightfully reevaluating his next move.   The uncertainty and wanting to be sure in a decision meant Terry would take a visit to Missouri and most recently Notre Dame had started knocking on the door, with a visit to South Bend looking likely a week ago.

With those possible opportunities in the back of his mind, Keeston visited Lawrence this weekend and came away feeling exactly the way he wanted to and reaffirmed his commitment to Coach Gill and the Kansas Jayhawks.  Terry gave RCT a few minutes of his time to discuss the decision, the visit and where he stands going forward with Kansas.

Denver

First off, maybe walk us through the visit a little, and how it went?

Keeston Terry

Well we all met up at the hotel on Friday evening, went to dinner and then went out with the host for the rest of the night.  Saturday is basically going through all the academic stuff, facilities, the basketball game then dinner.  After that, head out with the host again.

Denver

Who hosted you for the weekend?

Keeston Terry

Christian Matthews

 Denver

Did you get a chance to meet more of the coaching staff? and what were your thoughts?

Keeston Terry

Yeah, I actually got to meet the whole staff they seemed real cool and excited.  All the players I talked to had nothing but good things to say about the coaching staff.  From talking to the players it seems to be a better situation already.

Denver

That's very good to hear. Obviously with you being on the offensive side of the ball I'm sure you were curious how or if the offense would change, was that discussed at all?

Keeston Terry

Yeah, Coach Wyatt (WR coach) let me know that we were looking at multiple receiver sets, sometimes with a tight end involved and sometimes a fullback both of which I'm good with.  I think it will probably be very similar to what we run here at Blue Springs actually.

Denver

So as a whole did the visit leave you feeling a little more comfortable with the changes, the new staff, players etc?

Keeston Terry

Yes, I definitely feel better about the situation.  From here moving forward It's just going to be about building on the relationships with the staff and players so I get even more comfortable.

Denver

So as far as your future, do you still anticipate another visit or are you feeling comfortable enough that Kansas is your choice for sure.

Keeston

I'm pretty comfortable in saying Kansas is where I will be and I don't plan on taking anymore visits.

Denver

So...100% re committed to Kansas then?

Keeston Terry

Yes sir, 100%.

Denver

That is great news,  I know Kansas fans will be very happy as well. What was it that really put it over the edge for you?

Keeston Terry

I love KU and when I committed to Mangino it was to play football for KU.  At the time he seemed to be the man who was getting things going in the right direction.  With this it was just the fact of getting to know the new staff, to feel comfortable staying there.  Now that I know everyone somewhat I'm good and excited about the opportunity.

Also its good to know that there are good coaches in place but not just that, they are good people as well and they are going to do things the right way.

Denver

Glad to hear well, as always appreciate the time and glad to have you a Jayhawk.

Keeston Terry

All right, thanks man.
