A quick browse of the recruiting sites out there and one can easily catch up on everything Kansas. However today seems to be a particularly crazy day in recruiting and in the recruiting rumor mill.
First of Phog.net is reporting that Jimmy Mundine and outside linebacker recruit out of Dennison Texas has pulled the trigger and committed to the Kansas Jayhawks for the 2010 recruiting class.
Here's where things get interesting.
more after the jump...
A few days ago Jon Kirby from the Jayhawkslant ran a story regarding Mundine and his teammate, current Texas Tech commit Jaqwaylin Arps. In short, despite being committed Arps took a look at Kansas and Mundine says they'll play together in college. So, does that mean we can look for an Arps commitment to follow soon? Sounds like a strong possibility.
Now for another one floating out their from Sean Callahan with Husker Illustrated. I'm sure you all remember Keeston Terry. Sent me an email shortly after Kansas' Junior day with a pretty glowing commentary. I was a little shocked to see him commit to the Huskers, but now according to Husker Illustrated Terry is likely going to change that commitment from Nebraska to Kansas. Nothing confirmed at this point, but it's out there.
That would be three pretty big additions to our class that is shaping up to be a good one. Not to mention there is still a lot of buzz around guys like Donovan Vestal and Jatashun Beachum
If things keep going the way they are, this class and last class could be monsters in terms of positioning the Jayhawks for future success especially marked improvement on defense.
