Round one is in the books, it's Christmas eve and round two is set to begin. Hopefully someone's around to read this despite the holiday.
We're into what the NFL calls the divisional round after wild card weekend wrapped up with some great games, great performances and some fantastic coaching.
Who remains in the championship bracket, the consolation bracket and the ever important toilet bowl. A recap of wild card weekend, and a look ahead to round two awaits as we draw nearer to crowing the RCT Football League champion for 2009.

The season comes to a close for the Fighting 5.7's, the Slow Dancers of Fury, the Beltway Mudslinger, Baby Seal Clubbers, Dezmon's Tutors and Spontaneous Combustion. Congrats on a valiant effort throughout the year and good luck in the offseason as you try and better master your fantasy football prowess.
Championship Bracket Preview
- #5 The New York Chiefs vs. #1 The Tosche Station Power Converters - The Chiefs backed in but then proved they belonged by beating Slow Dance in Wild Card weekend. Now a matchup against friend but now rival as Labba and the Chiefs take on Bensa and the Power Converters. Will these two remain cordial after these weekends struggle. Or will this relationship turn as sour as Bill Belichek(spelling?) and Eric Mangini on a Sunday afternoon. Watch for the handshake after the game, WILL IT HAPPEN?
- #6 Cry Baby Cutlers vs. #2 Kansas Farm Boys - The Cutlers like the Chiefs pulled an upset in round one. Now the test gets a little tougher. However, you couldn't ask for a hotter team right now as the Cutler's put up a staggering 151 points on Wild Card weekend. The Farm Boys may have lucked out in a big way though as Drew Brees had arguably his worst game all season last week and with a bye they may have dodged a bullet. This one certainly looks to be interesting.

Consolation Bracket
- #11 Reesing for Heisman vs. #7 Basketball School - Reesing put the Seal Clubbers out of the league for good as a name change awaits the poor hate mongering Canadians. They'll need another solid output like they had in the wild card game though as Basketball school is easily the best team not to make the championship bracket this season. Well, unless you count the smoke a thon.
- #9 Denver's Fighting Mangino's vs. #8 Percy's Smoke a Thon - I face a dilemma here as I set the rosters spots for Percy. On the one hand the Mangino's don't deserve to walk into the championship despite having the greatest owner in league history. On the other hand, does the smoke a thon deserve a chance when they have the worst? I guess we have to play fair. Ultimately this boils down to Denver vs. Denver...who wins?

Toilet Bowl
- #16 NorthChamps09 vs New KU Happy Hour 4 to 5 - Seriously...? The two of you might have the worst names for the year. First of all we were last in the North and secondly, there was nothing happy about the 4-2-5. I guess that's why you are both in the toilet bowl. Good luck.
- #15 Devils Rejects vs. #14 KC Deadheads - This could be a good game, it really could. I think I'll go with the Deadheads on this one because it appears Danimal may have checked out. Perhaps he didn't realize he would be vying for the coveted toilet bowl championship.
