Sorry for the lack of posting yesterday. The plan is to catch up today and tomorrow, still finishing up everything I wanted to finish this week by Sunday. Hopefully.
- Bill Self's basketball boogie is Saturday night, a charity event hosted by Bill Self. However, with the National Championship, ticket sales have gone through the roof (supposedly) and there should be 1200 people there when the party kicks off Saturday.
- The Emporia Gazette looks at the abyss of the college football year, which we are currently in, and semi-previews the two semi-local teams: KU and K-State. He doesn't have too kind of things to say about Kansas, notably that "Todd Reesing is serviceable". OK.
- Today is the MLB Draft. And a Kansas-recruit, Zac Elgie, has a chance of being drafted high enough to choose the tens-of-thousands in the pros over the collegiate experience of Lawrence, particularly if his hometown Twins snatch him.
The big news of the day is the MLB Draft, although today is only the first five rounds (I think). So, no Jayhawks will probably be taken today, although a handful have a chance tomorrow, I'm sure.
Again, hopefully I can bang out a lot of stuff today to get back on track with FIU week and QB week.
ROCK CHALK!
