Kansas 55 Florida International 3

Blowout #4. The Jayhawks have taken their much-anticipated 4-0 start, but in a much more impressive fashion than most expected. Not a single game was up in the air following halftime, and at times both the offense and the defense looked unstoppable.

Todd Reesing threw the ball for 368 yards on just 24 completions, Brandon McAnderson had 105 yards rushing on 13 carries (8.1 average) and Aqib Talib returned an interception 103 yards for a touchdown. That means that Talib has scored in every game thus far, the first three as a receiver and tonight playing his natural position of CB, and has looked just as good as we all expected. Joe Mortensen had a tremendous game, tallying up 11 tackles, and our defense as a whole shut out the anemic offense of the Golden Panthers. We gave up 255 yards of total offense, as opposed to the 615 yards we put up ourselves. We get a week off next week to get prepared for conference play, then have 8 straight weeks of conference action. It all starts on October 6th in Manhattan, Kansas, a game that should tell a lot about how good this team really is.

My guess? We'll play pretty good.
