I will have more on each individual player later (likely JQ will take care of it when he gets back from a much deserved vacation) but for now four Jayhawks were drafted yesterday in the 2007 MLB Draft. The four players were senior CF Kyle Murphy (19th round), junior SP Zach Ashwood (16th), RF Brock Simpson (46th) and SS Erik Morrison (49th). Going as late as they did, I would imagine that both Brock Simpson and Morrison will be returning to play one more season at Kansas, but I expect Ashwood to sign with the Cubs. It's always nice to see Jayhawks have success in professional sports, even being drafted is always fun to see.
